＜Durability of the house＞
・ Several hundred years if maintained properly （Japanese style wooden houses last only for 30 years.）

・ Built more than 30 years ago, but still looks brand new / the property tax - unbelievably low


＜Scarcity value of the house＞
・ Thick and long Canadian spruce is used for the house,
but it’s no longer available because of the new Canadian forest protection law
Even American style thinner and shorter logs have stopped coming to Japan
because of the poisonous ants hidden in unseasoned wood.


＜Scarcity value of the water＞
・ According to the water quality examination,
the mineral water from the 200-hundred-meter-deep well was ranked higher than the mineral water
(Southern Alps Natural water) sold by Suntory.
・ After the well was dug, Hokuto city imposed a ban on digging a well in the forest.
But the new law doesn’t affect the well already dug,
which makes the 120-liter/minute(maximum) mineral water extremely valuable.
